對英語教學中的小組活動進行實證研究

Research on Group Work in English Language Teaching
Abstract
Chinese teachers have applied traditional ways in their teaching, such as teacher-centered ways, examination-oriented ways for a long time, which are harmful for striving students’ learning autonomy. With the promotion of Cooperative Learning Theory, Communicative Approach and Humanism Psychology, group work is a frequently applied method in the English language teaching classroom. However, there are some problems with group work in practice, such as unbalanced participation, students “speaking” rather than “talking” with others, inappropriate of teacher’s role displaying and so on. This thesis describes the characteristics of group work and studies the factors that affect the fulfillment of group work in English language teaching classroom. According to the results of experiments, this thesis will analyze the findings and give some suggestions, which are focused on group work design and the change of teacher’s role through group work.

摘 要
中國教師長期以來運用以教師為中心,以考試為目的的傳統(tǒng)的英語教學方法。這些方法對提高學生學習的自主性極為不利。隨著合作學習理論,交際法和人本主義心理學的興起和推廣,小組活動被頻繁地使用在英語課堂教學中。然而,小組活動在運用過程中存在1些問題:如參與的不平衡性,學生自己1味的說而不是與其他人交談和教師角色不恰當的發(fā)揮作用等。本篇論文將描述小組活動的特點,尋找影響小組活動在英語課堂教學中產生效果的因素。論文將分析實驗結果,并就小組活動任務的設計和教師在小組活動中角色的改變兩方面提供建議。
