Letters: Center needs easy access

The only way to maximize the success of a new Sioux Falls events center is to ensure easy access not only for Sioux Falls citizens but those in Mitchell, Brookings, Worthington, Minn., Sioux City and beyond.

Ease of access will make a difference to some in deciding to attend an event. You can't attract people to shopping, restaurants and hotels if they don't come to an event in the first place.

The best logical place for an events center is near the convergence of two interstate highways - either southwest near I-229 and I-29, northeast near I-229 and I-90 or northwest near I-29 and I-90.

At these sites, visitors who are drawn to events easily can route to shopping, restaurants or hotels before or after an event if they are so inclined. It's the best way to maximize the success and benefits of a Sioux Falls events center for our citizens, our businesses and their employees
