關(guān)于商務(wù)英語翻譯的賞析

　　【原文】他們以外商為對(duì)象，通過各種形式，調(diào)查研究國(guó)外市場(chǎng)的需求情況及他們對(duì)我出口商品的反應(yīng)，從而弄清我出口商品哪些可以發(fā)展，哪些宜控制，哪些該提高質(zhì)量、增加花色品種、改進(jìn)包裝裝潢及如何擴(kuò)大推銷等，并制定計(jì)劃，擬定措施，使我國(guó)生產(chǎn)出更多的適銷對(duì)路的出口商品，換取更多的外匯。

　　【譯文】Through contacts with overseas businessmen,Chinese companies can conduct overseas market surveys.This will help them to understand which commodities to produce and in what quantity,as well as which products to improve in terms of quality.They will also find out how to increase their range of products and how to improve the packaging of their commodities.All these will no doubt help promote China's export trade

　　【點(diǎn)評(píng)】任何翻譯都要涉及兩種語言，所涉及的兩種語言在表達(dá)方式上不可能完全一樣，比如，有時(shí)源語（the source language）將細(xì)節(jié)充分明示出來，但如果譯語也以同樣的明示方式傳達(dá)原文信息就不簡(jiǎn)潔，此時(shí)就需要在譯文中做暗示處理。對(duì)于“以外商為對(duì)象，通過各種形式”，英譯文以一介詞短語“Through contacts with overseas businessmen”就足以傳達(dá)原文的含義，其中“contacts”一詞中的復(fù)數(shù)“-s”傳達(dá)出了“通過各種形式”的含義。此外，原文第一個(gè)分句的謂語部分“調(diào)查研究國(guó)外市場(chǎng)的需求情況及他們對(duì)我出口商品的反應(yīng)”在英譯文中以“conduct overseas market surveys”即可簡(jiǎn)要再現(xiàn)原文之含義。原文中“從而弄清”在英譯文中以“This will help them understand ...”既充分傳達(dá)出原文的含義，又起到承上啟下的`作用。對(duì)于“如何擴(kuò)大推銷等，并指定計(jì)劃，擬定措施”這些不太重要的信息，英譯文予以省略。而對(duì)于原文最后一句“使我國(guó)生產(chǎn)出更多的適銷對(duì)路的出口商品，換取更多的外匯”，英譯文做了簡(jiǎn)化處理，將此句意譯成“All these will no doubt help promote China's export trade”
