Not in Education, Employment orTraining的縮略語,即我們所說的“啃老族”。

The problem of NEET, once well-known in the UK and Japan, has been brought into public attention now in China. NEET refers to the group of the young who are not currently engaged in education, employment or training. Most of these young people just stay at home or idle about, avoiding employment and relying on their parents.

There are mainly two reasons for this phenomenon. For one thing, with the expansion of university enrollment, an increasing number of college graduates pour into job-hunting market every year. Unfortunately, some of them are not fully prepared and thus become unemployed the time they graduate. For another, some young people are badly spoilt as the only child of their family, so they psychologically and financially depend on their parents even when they are already grown-ups.

To solve this problem, first, colleges should provide pre-job training courses for the young. Second, parents should cultivate their children the sense of independence. Last but not the least, college students should equip themselves with skills and knowledge so that they will become competitive when seeking jobs.

  Society

With the development of our society, the campus no longer is an "Ivory Tower". It is necessary for college students to go outside to get to know the world. They should acquire knowledge not only from books but also from the society. Thus(因此) they can adapt to society more quickly after they graduate from school. Science and technology are developing rapidly with each passing day. Most students can keep themselves informed by watching TV, listening to the radio, reading newspapers and using computers. It’s also good to take a part-time job, such as tutoring(輔導), or working in a restaurant. Any of these methods will enable students to get in touch with society.

Summer vacation will soon be here. I’ve already enrolled(登記) to be a volunteer to help others. I think I can do well. Although I won’t be paid, the most important thing is that I can learn a lot about society.

For thousands of years, people have accepted challenges in different fields. There are not only physical challenges, but also social andintellectual(聰明的) challenges. Some people risk(冒…險) their lives in playing sports to see how well they can do. Others try to make and invent(發(fā)明) something to make life easier. They all enjoy challenges.

Why do people enjoy these challenges? There are probably many reasons. One is curiosity. The other is the personal feeling of success, of achievement, and nowadays, for some people, it is a business.

Today, we still have many challengers before us. Medical science faces the challenges of conquering many diseases which still attack human beings. Engineers and planners must build new cities, design and produce new kinds of transportation. Scientists must develop new forms of energy. In short, we live in an age of challenges.

題目:The Importance of Cultural Heritage Protection

In recent years, the issue of cultural heritage protection has attracted increasing attention. Cultural heritage, which includes historical monuments, traditional arts, and intangible cultural heritages like folk customs and handicrafts, is an invaluable asset of humanity.

On one hand, cultural heritage is a mirror that reflects the history and civilization of a nation or region. For example, the Great Wall of China not only stands as a magnificent architectural wonder but also tells the story of the countrys ancient defense systems and the wisdom of its people. It is a source of national pride and identity. Moreover, traditional arts such as Chinese calligraphy and painting have passed down the aesthetic and philosophical concepts of generations, enriching peoples spiritual world.

On the other hand, protecting cultural heritage is crucial for sustainable development. It can promote tourism, bringing economic benefits to local communities. Tourists from all over the world flock to visit famous cultural heritage sites, which in turn creates job opportunities and stimulates local economies. Additionally, cultural heritage preservation helps maintain cultural diversity in the globalized world. Each unique cultural heritage is a precious component of the worlds cultural mosaic.

However, cultural heritage is facing numerous threats. Urbanization and modernization have led to the destruction of some historical buildings and the erosion of traditional cultures. Moreover, illegal trafficking and improper restoration also damage cultural heritages.

To address these issues, governments should formulate and enforce strict laws and regulations. Adequate funds should be allocated for the protection and restoration of cultural heritages. Public awareness campaigns should be launched to encourage people to cherish and protect cultural heritages. Only in this way can we ensure that our precious cultural heritages are passed down to future generations intact.

  Campus Safety

Campus security and safety is a big issue and has become a focus in education, especially when tragic events happened time and time again on campus.

There is still much to be done. Schools across the country should take safety education seriously and conduct it compulsorily. Besides, they should revise their emergency preparedness plans and tighten security. For example, security guards should patrol on campus around teaching buildings and student dorms, and enforce strict entrance checks, barring entry to anyone carrying a gun or s. knife.

As students, we should enhance our awareness of safety — that is, being aware of safety issues and of potential hazards in our daily life. For example, foresee the possible incidents and keep away from crowded places. Lock the dorm at night or whenever we are alone in the dorm. If possible, we should also have some first-aid trainings in order to help us survive emergency situations.

  要求

Peer pressure refers to the influence exerted by a peer group in encouraging a person to change his or her attitudes, values,or behavior in order to conform to group norms.Though the idea that“everyone’s doing it” can sometimes strengthen our sense of competition,it can also mislead us to leave our judgment,or our common sense behind.

No one can avoid peer pressure, however,as we grow, we learn to deal with it properly. To begin with,we must be true to ourselves.Paying attention to our own feelings and beliefs about what is right or wrong will help us make our own decision.Inner strength and self-confidence keep us standing firm instead of being affected by the external influences.Secondly,be careful when choosing friends. We may try to get together with friends of similar values, interests or backgrounds to reduce the pressure from different minds. What’s more, when we find the peer pressure is overwhelming,we might as well turn to someone we trust for help.

Though we may feel annoyed when caught in peer pressure,we can learn a lot through coping with it.Eventually we will reach the balance between our own beliefs and external influences.
