Good afternoon ，ladies and gentlemen!
I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.
First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”
Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2008 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”
For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2008 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.
At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

我很榮幸站在這里給你一個(gè)簡短的講話!我的主題是機(jī)遇和挑戰(zhàn)。
首先,我想知道,你的命運(yùn)給你什么?幸福,智慧,一個(gè)強(qiáng)壯的身體或者其他東西。如果我有問這個(gè)問題尼克松總統(tǒng),他可能會(huì)說,“命運(yùn)給予我們的不是失望之酒,而是機(jī)會(huì)之杯。”
不用說,給中國一個(gè)最大的機(jī)會(huì)是2008年奧運(yùn)會(huì)。直到現(xiàn)在,我們已經(jīng)使用2/7的準(zhǔn)備時(shí)間。你看過多少變化?新的道路,新的地鐵線路,public-exercising設(shè)備用美麗的色彩,大量的草地上,還有很多在建的現(xiàn)代健身房。
以外,有更加好的效果帶給我們的奧運(yùn)會(huì),不能直接看到。例如,越來越多的人了解中國。我相信神秘的中國文化會(huì)強(qiáng)烈吸引他們。和奧運(yùn)會(huì)也將做良好的經(jīng)濟(jì)和環(huán)境,因?yàn)檫@是獲得外國投資者的關(guān)注和保護(hù)環(huán)境的意識(shí)正在加強(qiáng)。更重要的是,奧運(yùn)會(huì)給一個(gè)獨(dú)特的機(jī)會(huì)來激勵(lì)和培養(yǎng)新一代的中國青年奧林匹克精神和奧林匹克精神�，F(xiàn)在我們已經(jīng)見過這么多的進(jìn)步,你能想象我們失去了持有的權(quán)利嗎?
我已經(jīng)說了很多關(guān)于奧運(yùn)會(huì)和中國。但我認(rèn)為每個(gè)人都應(yīng)該用一些時(shí)間來思考這個(gè)問題,“奧運(yùn)會(huì)有什么特殊的意義嗎?”
對(duì)我們來說,我的意思是中國青年,2008年奧運(yùn)會(huì)是一個(gè)巨大的禮物。因?yàn)槲覀冋诘却鲋匾氖莾斶�給我們的愛。社會(huì)就像一艘船,我們的夢(mèng)想隊(duì)長揮舞著他的手,說:“嘿!來這里掌舵!”他的聲音是多么迷人,但我們從未聽說過在我們的真實(shí)生活。然而今天上午,當(dāng)我們醒來時(shí),我們將看到奧運(yùn)會(huì)揮舞著它的手。咀嚼后,我們大多數(shù)人至少都會(huì)有一個(gè)計(jì)劃為奧運(yùn)會(huì)做什么。和我的是一個(gè)“被子”——這是會(huì)安慰別人的人。

First of all thank the teacher gave me a story in my own future ideal job.
Everyone has a dream job. My dream is to become a boss, own a company.
In order to achieve my dreams, I need to find a good job, to accumulate some experience and wealth, it is the necessary things
Of course, in the school good achievement and rich knowledge is also very important. Good achievement and rich experience can let me work to make the right choice, have more opportunities and achievements.
At the same time, communication is very important, because it determines whether my company has a good future development. So I need to exercise their communicative ability. I need to use all of the free time to learn all. Because I believe, there is nothing in the world can shake my determination.
You will be successful, as your own efforts. So seize the time, we have no time to waste.
Nothing in the world can change their patience ( confidence ).

首先很感謝老師給了我一個(gè)講述我自己未來理想工作的機(jī)會(huì)。
每個(gè)人心中都有一個(gè)自己理想的工作。我的夢(mèng)想是將來成為一名老板，擁有一個(gè)屬于自己的公司。
為了完成自己的夢(mèng)想，我需要找到一個(gè)好的工作，用來積累一些經(jīng)驗(yàn)和財(cái)富，這是必要的事情。
當(dāng)然，在學(xué)校里好的成績和豐富的知識(shí)也是非常重要的。好的成績和豐富的經(jīng)驗(yàn)?zāi)茏屛以诠ぷ髦凶龀稣_的選擇，擁有更多的機(jī)會(huì)和成就。
同時(shí)，交際能力也是非常重要的，因?yàn)檫@決定著自己公司未來是否擁有一個(gè)好的發(fā)展。所以自己需要鍛煉自己的交際能力。自己需要利用一切的空閑時(shí)間來學(xué)習(xí)一切。 因?yàn)槲蚁嘈�，世界上沒有什么能動(dòng)搖我的決心。

I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.
However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.
抓牢你的夢(mèng)想
我今天有一個(gè)夢(mèng)想。
我夢(mèng)想有一天，幽谷上升，高山下降，崎嶇之地變平原，曲折之路成坦途。圣光展露，滿照人間。
這對(duì)馬丁路德金是怎樣的一個(gè)夢(mèng)想啊。不過這個(gè)變化著的世界似乎在告訴我，在成長的過程中，人們卻不知不覺把他們的夢(mèng)想弄丟了，而我自己也有時(shí)會(huì)覺得在告別很多童年的夢(mèng)。
然而，我們是需要夢(mèng)想的。夢(mèng)想滋養(yǎng)我們的靈魂，夢(mèng)想代表著我們被現(xiàn)實(shí)拉垮時(shí)依然具有的希望。它鼓勵(lì)我們不斷前進(jìn)。大多數(shù)成功人士都是夢(mèng)想家，同時(shí)也是普通人，只是他們敢于夢(mèng)想敢于成就偉大。當(dāng)我們還是孩子的時(shí)候，我們都?jí)粝脒^做一番大事業(yè)，現(xiàn)在應(yīng)當(dāng)做的就是保存好那些夢(mèng)想，再度恢復(fù)它們，并將它們實(shí)現(xiàn)。不過最難的是我們通常不知道怎樣付諸實(shí)施。那么，就從最具體的目標(biāo)開始，堅(jiān)持去做吧。不要讓那些莫名的恐懼迷惑了我們的雙眼，影響了我們對(duì)未來的信念。用我們的天資和智慧，用我們的耐力和創(chuàng)造力，我們一定會(huì)實(shí)現(xiàn)夢(mèng)想。
抓牢你的夢(mèng)想，因?yàn)槿绻麎?mèng)想死亡，生活就成了一只折斷翅膀的鳥再也不能飛翔。抓牢你的夢(mèng)想，因?yàn)槿绻?mèng)想，生命就成了一塊覆蓋著冰雪的貧瘠的凍土。親愛的朋友們，想想那些過去的或已經(jīng)死去的夢(mèng)想吧。不管是什么，重新將它撿起，并從今天開始讓它重生。
