1. Maths

　　數(shù)學考試有60個問題，60分鐘。主要測試學生讀完11年級后所應掌握的知識。

　　測試形式是選擇題。

　　考生應該掌握基本公式和算術技巧。不要求知道復雜公式和復雜運算。

　　2. English Test

　　包括75個問題，考試時間45分鐘

　　Standard Written English 標準英語寫作

　　§punctuation 　標點

　　§grammar and usage 　語法及應用

　　§sentence structure 　句子結構

　　Rhetorical Skills 修辭技巧

　　strategy 　寫作技巧

　　§organization 文章組織

　　§style 　文體

　　不測試拼寫，詞匯，語法的記憶。

　　考試包括5篇不同類型的散文，后跟有選擇題。

　　3. Reading

　　閱讀部分 35 分鐘 ,40 個問題 . ，用來測試閱讀理解能力。要求考試者讀幾篇文章，并回答問題：

　　問題會考查以下技巧：

　　* determine main ideas找出文章大意

　　* locate and interpret significant details尋找并解釋關鍵細節(jié)

　　* understand sequences of events理解事件順序

　　* make comparisons做比較

　　* comprehend cause-effect relationships 理解起因 - 結果的關系

　　* determine the meaning of context-dependent words, phrases, and statements

　　* 根據(jù)文章上下文猜測單詞，短語，句子的意思

　　* draw generalizations 得出一般結論

　　* analyze the author's or narrator's voice and method

　　* 分析作者或敘述者的語氣和寫作方法

　　測試文章包括以下領域：社會科學，自然科學，小說，以及人類學

　　每篇文章后附有一定的選擇題。這些題目并不測試文章以外死記硬背的知識，單獨的詞匯或邏輯，而是測試應試者在閱讀一系列學科領域時要用到的補充，論證技巧。

　　4. Science

　　科學考試40個問題，35分鐘�？疾熳匀豢茖W要求的能力：解釋，分析，評價，推理以及如何解決問題。

　　* 數(shù)據(jù)圖象表達(曲線圖，表格、其他示意圖)

　　* research summaries (descriptions of several related experiments)

　　* 研究總結(描述相關實驗)

　　* conflicting viewpoints (expressions of several related hypotheses or views that are inconsistent with one another)

　　* 沖突性觀點(幾個相關而有彼此矛盾的假設或公式)

　　The questions require you to: 問題要求：

　　* recognize and understand the basic features of, and concepts related to, the provided information

　　* 辨認并理解所給信息的特點和概念

　　* examine critically the relationship between the information provided and the conclusions drawn or hypotheses developed

　　* 嚴密驗證所給信息以及得出結論或者假設的關系

　　* generalize from given information and draw conclusions, gain new information, or makepredictions

　　* 從所給信息總結，得出結論或者預測

　　5. Writing

　　寫作考試30分鐘，考查寫作技巧――主要是考查高中英語課程和大學起點課程強調(diào)的寫作技巧。

　　寫作會給一篇小文章，給定一個議題，并有兩種觀點。你可以任選一個，或者提出自己的觀點。寫作分數(shù)不會受所選觀點的影響。
