*英語里沒有一個特別對應(yīng)“學(xué)霸”的詞,最貼切的是nerd, 但是nerd更強(qiáng)調(diào)成績超好的書呆子

What was the hiring process like? 招聘過程是怎樣的?
How many rounds of interviews did you go through? 你經(jīng)過了幾輪面試?
It depends on the position, but generally there are three to four rounds of interviews: 要看你申請的職位,不過基本上有三、四輪面試
The last round is called a Super Day: 最后一輪面試叫Super Day
Super Day: “超級日”,美國金融銀行業(yè)的行話,形容最終一輪面試這一天

You submit your resume and specify where you want to work and which position you're applying for: 遞交簡歷,說清自己應(yīng)聘什么職位
The first round interview is usually a phone interview: 第一輪面試通常是電話面試

I interviewed with someone who was really chill:面試我的人態(tài)度很放松、很友善
Chill: 放松
But it's still an interview format: 但還是一個面試,不是閑聊
They ask you questions at first, and at the end you ask them questions: 他們會問你問題,最后你可以問他們問題
面試兩大類問題
Assume you'll be asked both behavioral and technical questions in the interview: 做好你會被問到行為類和技術(shù)類兩類問題的準(zhǔn)備
#1. Behavioral questions: 行為類的問題
Those questions are designed to find out about your personality: 行為類的問題是用來了解你的性格、個性特點(diǎn)的
They're trying to find out whether they want to work with you: 這些問題會幫他們決定是否想跟你一起工作
The behavioral type of questions are mostly about what you wrote on your resume: 基本上問題都跟你簡歷上寫的東西有關(guān)
For example, why did you take the classes you took? 比如你為什么選修那些課?
What kind of activities do you participate on campus? 你在學(xué)校參加了什么活動?
Why are you interested in us? 你為什么要來我們這里工作?
#2. Technical questions: 技術(shù)性的問題
These questions vary depending on the position you applied for: 這類問題根據(jù)你應(yīng)聘的職位不同有所區(qū)別
If you're applying for a trader position in an investment bank, you might get questions like what kind of stocks have you been looking at? 比如你應(yīng)聘銀行交易員的職位,那你會被問到自己有買股票嗎?
What's your Portfolio strategy? 你的.投資組合策略是什么?
Very real world questions: 很真實(shí)、與現(xiàn)實(shí)接軌的問題
Balance sheet: 資產(chǎn)負(fù)債表
Project financial statements: 預(yù)測財務(wù)報表
Evaluate cash flow: 評估現(xiàn)金流

What’s your greatest strength and weakness? 你最大的優(yōu)點(diǎn)和缺點(diǎn)是什么?
Do interviewers really ask this type of questions? 面試官真會問這種問題嗎?

You have to prepare yourself mentally: 你要先做好思想準(zhǔn)備
Those questions aren't meant to be a test: 這類問題不是用來陷害你的
They're meant to figure out if you’re the type of person that will thrive at their bank:這是用來衡量你是什么樣的人,能不能在投行環(huán)境里成功
30-second pitch about who you are: 還要準(zhǔn)備一個30秒的自我介紹
Don’t overkill it by telling people how perfect you are: 不要用力過猛, 一個勁說自己多完美
You need to tell a personal story of passion and growth: 重點(diǎn)要展現(xiàn)你的個人故事,體現(xiàn)你的熱情和成長
For example, in one of my interviews, the interviewer intentionally flipped my resume over: 我有一次面試,面試官聽了我的自我介紹,直接就把我的簡歷翻過來,不看了
Then he asked me, “Mr. Perfect, tell me one time things didn’t go well.”: 然后問我“完美先生”,講講自己不那么順利的一次
最爛的面試回答: 我是完美主義者
The worst answer to “What’s your greatest weakness?” is “I’m a perfectionist.”: 如果被問到“你最大的缺點(diǎn)是什么?”,最爛的答案就是“我是個完美主義者”
If you answer that, people know it's not a sincere answer: 你這樣答,一聽就知道不是真誠的回答
They want to know if you have honest assessement of yourself: 他們想知道你是否能誠實(shí)認(rèn)識自我
The key is to be honest about your weaknesses, and show that you have been working to improve on it: 回答的關(guān)鍵是你要知道自己的弱點(diǎn),而且一定要展現(xiàn)你是如何去克服它的
