  3. 實(shí)事求是、恰如其分地介紹自己的能力和特長(zhǎng)。適度的謙虛是美德,但過分的謙虛是缺乏自信的.表現(xiàn),只會(huì)讓自己錯(cuò)失良機(jī)。因此,求職者在寫cover letter時(shí),應(yīng)對(duì)自己的能力有個(gè)準(zhǔn)確的估量,然后實(shí)事求是地予以陳述。只有自己樹立了信心,才能獲得別人的認(rèn)同和贊賞。但同時(shí),求職者也要注意,信中切忌出現(xiàn)過分吹噓的話,例如“我能適應(yīng)各種工作”“聽說貴公司最近效益不太好,我完全有能力改變這種狀況”以及“我做過幾項(xiàng)課題,貴公司遇到的此類技術(shù)問題,我一定能夠解決”等。剛出校門的大學(xué)生尤其要注意這一點(diǎn),雖然大學(xué)生有一定的理論基礎(chǔ),但尚缺乏實(shí)踐經(jīng)驗(yàn),所以在cover letter中要盡量避免使用“一定” “肯定” “第一”“絕對(duì)”“完全可以”“保證能做到”等大話。

  4. 篇幅適當(dāng)。如果cover letter太短的話,可能無法清晰表達(dá)出求職者的想法,也會(huì)使求職者顯得誠(chéng)意不足;但如果cover letter過長(zhǎng),又會(huì)有冗繁之嫌,可能引起讀信者的反感。一般來說,cover letter以A4紙的半頁(yè)至一頁(yè)篇幅為宜。如果求職者確實(shí)有重要的內(nèi)容需要詳加闡述,也不宜超過兩頁(yè)。

  5. 切忌一信多投。“一信多投”是cover letter的大忌。求職者要針對(duì)不同的應(yīng)聘公司和職位要求寫不同內(nèi)容的cover letter。如果求職者抱著“以不變應(yīng)萬變”的態(tài)度,將一封cover letter重復(fù)地投遞到不同公司,可能會(huì)讓招聘公司認(rèn)為你偷懶且誠(chéng)心不夠,極易被拒。
