Thank you very much!非常感謝！在接下來的時間里，我將和大家一起分享一下學(xué)英語的苦辣酸甜。最主要的，是想通過我在北大六年教學(xué)經(jīng)歷、美國六年生活經(jīng)歷、“新東方”六年教學(xué)經(jīng)歷，來和大家交流一下怎能樣盡快的提高大家的listeing and speaking comprehensions.
我的經(jīng)歷具體是這樣的：我是1980年從內(nèi)蒙古考到北大的，比大家高了好多屆。我在北大學(xué)英文，然后又在北大教書。教書六年之后，在1990年，我求學(xué)到美國。我發(fā)現(xiàn)到了，美國一下飛機，我一句話也聽不懂。當時我想，至少我學(xué)了幾年英文，所以打算繼續(xù)學(xué)英文。正在我在考慮到哪里去的時候，我聽到一種說法，叫做everybody in American can speak English。那么我又怎么能夠在美國賺錢呢？所以，我必須改變這個想法。于是我該學(xué)了學(xué)計算機。計算機碩士畢業(yè)以后，我在美國的貝爾實驗室做了兩年的軟件工程師。在1995年，“新東方”的創(chuàng)始人俞敏洪來到了美國，在他的建議下，我有回國，開始參加“新東方”的創(chuàng)建。我和俞敏洪在北大是同班同學(xué)——“新東方”的五個“創(chuàng)業(yè)元老”里有三個是北大的同學(xué)。除了我們兩個還有一個是“新東方”的圖書總策劃包凡一老師，他是“新東方”的寫作專家。我在大學(xué)時代是他們的班長，他們兩個當時是全班最落后的學(xué)生。我那時的主要精力和時間都花在每天晚上陪他們兩個在湖畔散步，勸
他們不要跳下去。我告訴他們說：“你們將來一定會成才的.�！钡搅�96年，我在新東方擔任副校長的時候，有一個大學(xué)生就問我說：“王老師，你上大學(xué)時四年都是他們的班長，你現(xiàn)在卻是他們的副校長，你的心理平衡怎么找？”我說：“不用找，我現(xiàn)在心理是最平衡的。我當初當班長最大的夙愿就是幫助這兩個后進青年成才。今天看到他們已經(jīng)紛紛成才了，我的夙愿已經(jīng)了了。平衡徹底找到了。”——我們的確都要找到一個平衡的方法，只有心態(tài)平衡下來，你才能夠干成偉大的事業(yè)。
在美國的時候我學(xué)計算機之前，還有一段小插曲。那就是我險些報考了哈佛的人力學(xué)系。我離開北大之后，吸引我的學(xué)校只有兩所，一所是英國的牛津大學(xué)，就是Oxford University；另一所呢就是Harvard University。那時候，哈佛大學(xué)人力學(xué)系的系主任，對我進行了面試之后覺得可以錄取我，并且提出可以給我提供五年的Scholarship。他說：“你只要答應(yīng)我一個條件，”我說：“什么條件？”——這個教授研究的是非常偏的一個科目，所以招生好多年都沒有找到一個合適的學(xué)生。他是在人力學(xué)系研究中國文化中苗族文化的�！f：“只要你跟我學(xué)苗語，我就給你獎學(xué)金�！蔽艺f：“可以�！钡�，我冷靜下來之后想：我拿了這些錢，在五年之內(nèi)，過的是天上人間的日子。就算不能從哈佛大學(xué)畢業(yè)，也能夠肄業(yè)。將來至少能夠跟孫子夸口說，爺爺當年進過哈佛。但是這還不行，因為我拿到這個學(xué)位，最終的目的是要找個飯碗。我就考慮，在北美這樣大片的土地上，有多少地方需要我這樣的人才呢？——苗族文化專家。通過“研究”，我發(fā)現(xiàn)，全北美只有一個地方需要，就是哈佛大學(xué)、人力學(xué)系、這位老師。所以，如果全北美只有一個機會，他的目標里只有我一個人，那么這個機會對我來說是百分之百的！但是，五年之后，我仍然處于一個非常劣勢的地位。我如果能在哈佛大學(xué)拿到學(xué)位，接下來的夢想就是當上哈佛大學(xué)的教授、終身教授。美國大學(xué)關(guān)于終身教授的規(guī)定：只要這個教授不去世，你就別想替代他。我想，萬一我六十歲就“夭折“了，那位教授八十多歲還健在，我也還是助教。想到這兒，我就對那位教授說：“I want to learn something different�！�
當時是1990年，計算機在美國變得popular。而且招生的指標還有70個，我覺得這是個attract opportunity，于是決定學(xué)計算機。如果學(xué)計算機，我就可以成為一個“計算機科學(xué)家”，就可以make money。但當時，我已經(jīng)十年沒摸過數(shù)學(xué)了，計算機也從來沒有接觸過。我想，我能不能學(xué)計算機呢？我用亞里士多德的“三段論”來推導(dǎo)這個問題：計算機是人發(fā)明的東西，凡是人都應(yīng)該懂人發(fā)明的東西。最后，如果我學(xué)不了計算機，我就不是人。得出這個結(jié)論之后，我就要做一些實際的調(diào)查，看一看計算機到底是什么。我到了紐約最大的書店，看看計算機架上到底有些什么書。其中有兩架書，

as we know, you have to learn how to fly much more independently instead of under your parents’ considerate protection when you get into college, which also means you will come across enormous questions that should be solved by yourself. from my point of view, those main problems can fall into three parts. first of all, the complicated relationship. for one thing, you have to know how cultural differences function in your relationship and respect them. in addition, college students spend less time studying together owing to different courses’ choosing, which requires us to devote more energy to building relationship. for the other thing, it is also vital to communicate with your parents often by using mobile phones or other tools.
secondly, the temptations. the college serves us a more relaxed environment mixed with other temptations such as the internet, alcohols and so on. what’s more, the college teachers won’t compel you to study like before, you doze off or play cell phone in class, and you flee up the morning class because you get up too late.
such too frequent behaviors will cripple your passion and enthusiasm towards life, so it is essential for us to resist these temptations and insist pursuing our own goals. thirdly, the balance between study and work. most of us will choose to take a part time job to earn the extra money or just to exercise ourselves. but it is significant to keep a relatively balanced relationship between them since i always regard the study as our main task, so my principle is adjusting work to follow the schedule of study.
in conclusion, whatever issues we meet or miseries we suffer from, confront the hash reality head on, what we can do is remembering the past, living in the present and looking forward to the future.

built! At thebeginning, people liked the new city,but later something bad happened. All kinds of monsters showed up: rainmonster, hot monster, wind monster and sand monster. People felt sick with theenvironment, because the new citybrought a lot of pollution. People missed the forest, the animals and thelovely city they used to live in. But they were not able to change it at all.They became homeless and had to abandon their city. Watchedthe image lying before him, the king sank into the seat.

When I was seven, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, I played games and sang English songs with other children . Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world. Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons.
On the weekend, I often go to the English corner. By talking with different people there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English.
I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington Monument, because the president Washington is my idol. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university, I will be very happy.
I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. I'll introduce China to them, such as the GREat Wall, the Forbidden City and Anshan.
